A simple checklist to help patients and caregivers get ready for a medical transportation trip, from paperwork to timing.
← Back to ResourcesA little preparation goes a long way toward a smooth trip to a medical appointment. Here’s a simple checklist to run through before pickup.
What to Have Ready
- Insurance or Medicaid ID card
- A current medication list, if relevant to the visit
- Any mobility equipment you’ll need (wheelchair, walker, etc.)
- Referral paperwork or appointment confirmation details
- A companion, if one is joining and has been arranged in advance
- Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and the visit
- A charged phone, in case plans change
Timing Your Pickup
Plan for pickup well ahead of your appointment time to allow for travel and check-in, especially for a first visit to a new location. Our team can help estimate timing when you schedule.
What If Your Appointment Runs Long or Changes
If an appointment runs long, is rescheduled, or you need a different return time than planned, call our office as soon as you know — the sooner we hear, the easier it is to adjust your return trip.
